Click on the “my profile” link on the left side of the users homepage and
then click on the “upload your photos tab” on the top of the screen. Click
the “browse button”, and select the location of the photo that you would
like to upload. Click the “next” button to save the photo.
2. I received
an email notification that I have a new message, but when I log in the message
is not there. Where is the message?
A neighbor may have sent you a message, but if they have violated the Localconnections
“anti spamming policy”, they may have been deleted from our system. Therefore
any messages this neighbor has sent have been deleted as well.
3. Are there
any costs associated with Localconnections.com?
Localconnections.com is a 100 percent free web site to all of our users.
4. How do I
delete my profile?
In order to delete your profile please email info@localconnections.com with
your screen name and reason for deletion. We take into consideration all
feedback in order to make improvements to the website.
5. How do I
change my email address and/or password?
From the members homepage, click on the “my profile” link on the left side.
Under the login details tab you have the ability to modify your email and/or
password. Once you have updated your information press the “next” button
to save.
6. How do I
change my default photo?
Click on the “my profile” link on the left side of the users homepage and
then click on the “upload your photos tab” on the top of the screen. From
this point you will see a list of up to five photos that you have uploaded.
Next to each photo you will see a “make default image” button. Click the
button of the image that you would like to make your default photo. Click
the “next” button to save.
7. How do I delete
a neighbor from my virtual neighborhood?
In order to delete a neighbor from your virtual neighborhood, go to your
virtual neighborhood and click on the neighbor in which you wish to delete.
Then, click the “Delete Neighbor” button at the bottom of the
page.
8. Why can I
view only half of the photo that I uploaded in my profile?
If your photo is cut off, you did not allow enough time for the site to
process your newly uploaded photo. In order to correct this, upload your
photo once again, and wait for the site to complete uploading.
9. How do I search
for a neighbor by their username?
Go to the advanced search page, enter the username in the “Name”
field, and click the “Click to Search” button.
10. How do I
post an event?
After you have logged in, go to the “Events” section. Then,
click “Post Events”, enter your event details, and click the
“Submit” button. Make sure to submit all your event’s
details in its entirety to allow for greater exposure, and a higher response.
